About me

I'm a product designer working on AI tools, currently designing 3D-generation experiences as a Product Builder Intern at Meshy. I came to UX from architecture and engineering, which shapes how I approach spatial and 3D interfaces, and my work spans AI products, education, and nonprofit web.

I pair fluency in Figma and Unity with user research to prototype fast and validate with real users. I'm a Digital Media master's candidate at the University of Washington, graduating Spring 2027, and I'm looking for full-time UX and product design roles.

  • Jiahua Yin

Jiajun is a quick learner who always maintains a positive attitude. During her internship, she quickly mastered essential architectural software like Auto CAD, Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and also took the initiative to leam Figma, an effective interactive tool. Her strong technical skills helped her work efficiently and adapt to changing project demands. Her versatility also allowed her to tackle complex problems from multiple angles, delivering innovative solutions that impressed her colleagues.

Jiajun is also a highly motivated individual. When the construction plan for the Jiangsu Cultural Heritage Route Project was released, she jumped right in to research and explore the cultural heritage sites in Yangzhou, delving deep into the core materials to uncover their potential value. Jiajun's creative ideas and strong understanding of the project, combined with her proactive approach, laid a solid foundation for the project's success.

In addition, Jiajun is always willing to lend a helping hand. When colleagues faced challenges, she would often use her expertise to provide efficient solutions, assist with drawings or answer any questions regarding software use and installation. • Chuan Wang

Throughout her time in the SRTP project - Perceptual Comparison and Simulation of Real and Virtual Street Environments, Jiajun consistently demonstrated great qualities that differentiated her from other peers. She collected data efficiently, adopted interdisciplinary ideas effortlessly, designed and conducted experiments professionally, and made analysis using different tools accurately. While majoring in architecture, Jiajun delved into interdisciplinary areas including virtual reality, physiological research, and behavioral studies, and successfully completed research components that were quite different from her major. In 2023, this SRTP project has qualified to be a provincial-level student research project, which is only awarded to the top 10% projects and offered with approx. 1200 USD research fund. Its outcomes were selected to present at the 2023 Chinese Annual Academic Conference on Behavioral Geography (only two undergraduates’ projects were selected in its competitive peer-review process), and are go to be published in New Architecture (a top-three architectural academic journal in China) after three rounds of rigorous peer reviews. All these achievements not only highlighted Jiajun's outstanding research abilities but also revealed her significant potential for interdisciplinary study.

Jiajun's team player mindset showcased in the SRTP project is also impressive. She brought great value to the team with her positive attitude, willingness to undertake challenging tasks and commitment to shared goals. Working with students from different discipline like urban and rural planning, Jiajun demonstrated outstanding cross-team collaboration, giving full plays to her strong point.
